We take the heat out of your outage window.
Jason Group installs, maintains and inspects the equipment your generation depends on — heat exchangers, condensers, cooling towers and the systems around them — with a nuclear practice built around the refuelling outage window. Mobilised fast, documented properly, handed back on schedule.

What we do
Every hour a unit is offline has a number attached to it. Our operating model exists to make that number smaller.
We install, maintain and inspect the same equipment with the same crews. A new bundle goes in, the unit beside it is cleaned, and both are examined before close-up — one contract, one safety programme, one set of records.
The alternative is three contractors sharing a scaffold. Installation slips into commissioning, commissioning waits on inspection, and the day nobody budgeted for is the day you lose. Doing all three in-house removes the hand-offs, and with them most of the schedule risk.
Fouled tubes cost you backpressure and backpressure costs you megawatts. A badly rolled tube costs you the outage. We work both ends of that job, so nobody has to hand off in the middle.
How we work →Capabilities
Eleven disciplines,
one mobilisation.
- 01
Heat Exchanger Cleaning
Restore design-point thermal transfer across shell-and-tube, plate and air-cooled units.
Read more → - 02
Condenser Tube Cleaning
Pull back condenser backpressure and recover the megawatts fouling has been quietly costing you.
Read more → - 03
Retubing Services
From single-tube replacement to complete bundle retube, planned around your outage.
Read more → - 04
Cooling Tower Maintenance
Basin, fill and distribution deck cleaning, with structural inspection built into the same visit.
Read more → - 05
Industrial Cleaning
High-pressure water, dry vacuum and chemical cleaning across process equipment and structures.
Read more → - 06
Hydro Excavation
Non-destructive excavation around live utilities, buried lines and congested plant subsurface.

Also: tank cleaning, decontamination, pipe cleaning, vacuum truck services and protective coating.

A refuelling outage is won on dose, FME and paperwork.
The mechanical scope is rarely the hard part. What separates a crew that hands the unit back on schedule from one that does not is radiation work planning, foreign material exclusion discipline, and a documentation package your regulator accepts without a second conversation.
- 01
Installation
Piping, valves, heat exchangers and complete tube bundles installed to specification inside containment and across the balance of plant — with weld records, torque and expansion values and hold points captured as the work proceeds, not reconstructed afterwards.
- 02
ALARA and dose planning
Scope sequenced, briefed and where it earns its keep rehearsed on a mock-up, so time under the dose rate is spent working rather than orienting. Collective dose is a number we plan against, not one we report on afterwards.
- 03
Foreign material exclusion
FME controls written into the method statement rather than bolted onto it. Every tool and component that crosses the boundary is accounted for before the boundary closes.
- 04
Decontamination and radwaste
System, component and tooling decontamination with survey records and manifests packaged to survive a regulatory review — and waste volume reduced by the method chosen, not by how it is later described.
On the secondary side we run the same condenser, feedwater heater and heat exchanger work as our fossil crews, to the same documentation standard.
Inspection & integrity
Cleaning without data is just housekeeping.
Our certified inspectors work alongside the cleaning crews, so condition data is captured while access is already open — no second mobilisation, no second scaffold, no second outage.
-
AMPP Coating Inspection
Certified inspectors documenting surface preparation, application and holiday detection at every stage.
-
Eddy Current Testing
Non-destructive tube examination that maps wall loss, pitting and cracking before it becomes a forced outage.
-
Containment Leak Rate Testing
Local and integrated leak rate testing of containment penetrations, airlocks and isolation barriers.
How a job runs
Four steps, no surprises.
- 01
Scope
A call with someone who has done the work, not a salesperson. We ask what the unit is, what the symptom is and what the window is.
- 02
Plan
Written method statement, risk assessment, crew and equipment list, and a schedule that fits inside your outage — issued before mobilisation.
- 03
Execute
Crews on site with their own equipment, working inside your permit system and reporting against the schedule daily.
- 04
Hand back
Documentation package at handover: what was done, what condition it is in, and what we recommend for next outage.
Industries served
Regulated environments,
documented work.
- 01
Nuclear Power
Outage support, decontamination, containment testing and condenser work inside a nuclear quality programme.
- 02

Heavy Manufacturing
Process cooling, exchangers and plant-wide industrial cleaning.
“They pulled two days out of a planned nine-day condenser clean and handed us the eddy current report before the unit came back up. That does not happen.”
